If you are interested in living a low carbon life, then I suggest you:
♥ eat very little or no meat or dairy ♥ use public transport, walk or cycle as often as you can ♥ buy ‘green’ electricity or at least electricity from renewable sources ♥ stop participating in the ‘consumer’ economy and become a participant in the ‘conserver’ economy ♥ tell your government representatives that you are concerned about climate change and you expect them to take action to mitigate it ♥ buy local, seasonal food ♥ engage with the sharing economy eg: libraries, AirBNB, share cars arrangements ♥ support a price on carbon (we really don’t have much choice and doing so definitely won’t end the world)
We have the chance to create a high quality, happy future, let’s grab that chance now and know joy.
Let there be no doubt about the conclusions of the scientific community: the threat of global warming is very real and action is needed immediately. It is a grave error to believe that we can continue to procrastinate. Scientists do not believe this and no one else should either. Henry Kendall, 1990, Nobel Prize for Physics
